DOnut Distortion-Overdrive (Hot Cake Tribute)

I‘ ve never played an original HotCake but two self build clones from my bandmate. They both had an annoying cracking noise when using the footswitch, but this one doesn‘t.
The Donut is super solid and looks beautiful. It has the warm saturated overdrive sound, that I was looking for. Fits great with my ToneKing impereal Preamp and my Marshall Origin.

Title says it all, I use 2 of these drives on my board at different gain levels in different positions on my board. It's beautiful sounding regardless of the gain levels and I play everything from doom to shoegaze with em. A+++

Love this thing

Well technically two - one Donut and one Double Donut - but it's more donuts than I should eat in a day. This is a unique sounding overdrive and can do a lot of things very well. I love it as a higher gain crunch, and turning the gain and tone up all the way gives a super sweet fuzzy overdrive.

Have been using this thing daily, (almost) always on at low gain and it’s freaking great. Played a gig last night with it and was told that our mix was great and that the sound guy nailed it (we weren’t mic’d up haha)
