Wanna boost ? 20db of clean boost, with a bypassable (left switch) preamp (bass and treble control). Right toggle let you switch between the original “Grind” or the “33” EQ.

This, is a three in one, including the old school popular Integrated Preamp, switchable with the left toggle.

In "P" (Preamp) position, Bass and Treble became active. In "B" (Bypass) mode, you only have Level and EQ type control.

Power consumption : 21mA

Voltage : 9Vdc ONLY, center negative. Anything over 9V will blow the pedal.

The search is over!

I'm a metal/hardcore guy so I detune pretty low... down to a low G on my 7-strings. That said the bass needs to be TIGHT to be audible and brutal. I used an 808, ts-9, eq pedal... some came close to that sound in my ears that you hear in modern metal but there was something was missing.
So I borrowed a friends F%$#@n 33 and grind pedals and realized I was where I needed to be sound wise but they sell for $250 and $200 each respectively. Even most clones of each pedal go in excess of $150 and have to ship from New Zealand!
A forum member suggested the GUPtech GrindR pedal and I did some research. It seems A LOT of people are using it because, 1.It's an incredibly well made pedal from a small family business with integrity, 2.It combines both pedals and does so extremely ACCURATELY, (i've bought lack luster clones in the past and this is not one), 3.it cost less than half of ONE of the 33 or grind pedals! 4.The graphics are to die for!
So when I got it i noticed the build quality and finish were spectacular. I plugged it in to my Peavey 6505 with a Solar 7 w/Seymour Duncan pickups, (I used an Ibanez with EMG's too and actives sound just as brutal!), and tried both the 33 and GR settings. Extremely focused even with the eq bypassed. THIS WAS THE SOUND I WAS LOOKING FOR! I engaged the eq and tweaking treble and bass was easy, but I tend to prefer the eq bypassed actually.
I normally don't write reviews but since I spent half the previous night just enjoying a pedal, (for the first time in a long time), I thought i'd add my two cents and say if you're looking for "that" sound, here it is and all under $100 usd, (the pedal came in a few days with no border hassles at all).
Guillaume and all at GUPtech are serious about what they do and do it right. If you're on the fence about buying a "cloned' pedal, take my word for it; they are worth every penny and more. Thanks GUPtech!

GrindR? I barely know 'er.

Fantastic boost - three modes, three different EQ curves. The P boost with the bass and treble is equally great into a clean, broken up, or high gain amp - it works well as an "always on" pedal in this regard. It's possible to set the EQ such that your original signal's lows and highs remain the same, or boosted/cut if desired. Both the Fortin inspired modes are terrific with high gain, low tuned guitars - they add a noticeable spike in the upper mids and shave off some low end to ensure you curb any mud in the sound and cut through. Adore this little box, well done, Gup Tech!

My Fav OD

This pedal has replaced the TS9 in front of my Dual Rec. It sounds every bit as good and provides a few additional flavors for good measure. I can't recommend this enough. J'adore cette pédale. Bravo GupTech. Géniale!
