The pPTSD (prof Pinotte Tone Shaping Device) from GUP Tech is a brand new full-analog signal path parametric EQ, coupled with a boost unit designed to make any amp roar.
Parametric EQ have those precise shaping tools allowing you to change the curves (Q) of the EQ and also where exactly (frequencies) you're cutting/Boosting (+/- ~12dB). Ours got 3-band, Low (33-330Hz), mid (250-2.2kHZ) and High (1.1k-11kHZ). Coupled to that is a boost unit, allowing you to bring a lot of volume, even with extreme frequency chopping.
So start with everything at noon, plug that unit into your FX Loop, and see where you can go. The classic V shape is also a good start, boosting the low and high, and cutting a little bit of the mids. You can also only use the pedal as a volume boost (unity at noon) for your solos with a lot of volume boost available under the Level knob.
Power consumption : 48mA
Voltage : 9Vdc center negative only. Anything higher will fry the pedal.

Everyone needs one of these and this Guptech parametric EQ is simply the best value for money and high quality. Don't bother with anything else
This item didn’t work for me as expected. Also, the item did not come with a power supply. The item did not come with instructions. I searched the internet for instructions and couldn't find any.

The EQ works well. It is different from the WMD parametric EQ that also own in that it allows you to make larger changes on the dials to affect your tone (the WMD EQ will make large changes with barely moving the dial). Overall I like it so fat and provides all the tonal control I need. The Pptsd is also visually appealing which is a big plus for me.
This is a great pedal; Simple, straightforward 3-band parametric EQ with clean boost. It’s transparent and quiet and does exactly what it’s supposed to do without any extra, unnecessary features or nonsense. …and the price is great!
I had been searching for an equalizer pedal for a while. I didn’t want something cheaply built that added noise to my signal. I didn’t want something that was grossly overpriced. I didn’t want something cheaply built, modded, then sold for triple the original cost. These were my choices so I gave up looking. Then I found Guptech! Good quality pedal with negligible noise. I can also use it as a boost and the tone rivals that of many of my other drive pedals. A better price than many other eq’s even with shipping from Canada. Thank you for this!!
