2025-04 : New graphics, same boosting power.

Based on the old Broadcast console class A Germanium preamp, the circuit is built in a 1590BB enclosure (King of tone sized) with dual footswitch.

Dual channel, with independent Level controls, front panel voltage Boost toggle selector (Left is More/right is less Headroom) and laser etched design.

Even if you can use it to crunch a signal, the pedal itself is a massive volume Boost one, with infinite headroom in 27V mode. Paired with the low cut, you can turn into a chugging machine to push your high gain amp the the limit.

Internal trimpots let you adjust overall gain level of channel Low and High. Germanium transistor bias is also "slightly" adjustable from the inside to compensate any weird environmental conditions.

Power consumption : 12mA in High voltage mode. 3mA in low voltage.

Voltage : 9VDC center negative only. Anything else will blow some stuff.

This is currently my favorite pedal for use as pedal preamp and OD. Voltage switch creates 2 different worlds of volume and drive boost with 2 channels. Very useful and awesome creation. And very cute. ♡

Great sounds but low output

he Cococast sounds great. I’m sure I can use this for recordings to add some richness to my sound. The preamp adds fullness and, with gain maxed, some sweet and grainy fuzz. I bought this to use as a boost, though, and the levels are very low. At 27v, the level (or gain) needs to be maxed to get above unity. The 9v isn’t usable, as it *never* gets above unity.

This pedal creates amazing OD and boost that will induce 360° harmonics. 1 Low Cut EQ knob for tone. Voltage switch makes this pedal a multi-purpose and versatile tool. Switch right for higher gain available at lower volume. High headroom VOLT to left is as a power multiplier- gives cleaner headroom and makes this a very powerful boost/preamp/master volume pedal at the end of an FX pedal chain with any other fuzz or OD. It lights up both tube and solid state amps. I dunno. I love it. My new favorite OD/gain stage tool by far. The breakup is grindy and sparkly. GUPTech is a great company with solid offerings of high quality. I very much appreciate them, and this pedal is awesome. And unbearably cute. ♡
