Our PhoqueR (Phoque Ringer) is the evolution of our Phoque Face.
The Phoque Face Fuzz is the GUP Tech modern version of the SunFace/Fuzz Face. PNP Germanium, internal + External bias and clean blend. A pure classic fuzz tone.
In our PhoqueR, we added a completely standalone Green Ringer circuit (also available in our Poulp) upfront the Fuzz circuit (with the left footswitch). You can now use only the Fuzz, only the Ringer, or Both at the same time.
Simple and gritty, exactly how we like them. Powered by standard 9V power.
Power Consumption : 5mA
Voltage : 9VDC Center negative maximum. Anything higher will blow some stuff.

This is very well-built. Just received and it is difficult to stop playing. The phoque face art is extremely cute and pretty. The fuzz is awesome fuzz face type. It boosts into a beautiful fuzztorsion with OD into and/or after. Switchable octave ringer makes this a handy analog space machine. Merci GUPtech! A+ for being awesome.
I'll be honest—it took some time for me to really understand and love the PhoqueR. It can be unruly. Add the ringer and it's just plain rude. But, follow the basic rules of fuzz face circuits, and you'll find a very wide range of tones. I run it first and nearly full out, and then I use the volume on my guitar. Sounds sparkly up to 5 and well-rounded and full up to 8. I only use full fuzz (10) for crazier leads. The ringer, though, is an enormous bonus. You can leave the fuzz off and still get that nutty octave growl. It works really well with other overdrives and fuzzes, too.
